Родился в Чернигове 14.02.1966. В 1987 закончил Черниговское военное училище летчиков. Штурман 39 бригады тактической авиации воздушного командования "Центр" (в/ч А1435), полковник. Погиб 10 октября в районе деревни Шишаки Полтавской области. Сбит на самолете-разведчике Су-24МР N59, sn 0741612 (отремонтирован в 2015 году, получил пиксельный камуфляж). Пилоты катапультировались, один выжил, Шупика погиб.
