Роман Калащук родился в 1986 году на Херсонщине в пгт Аскания-Нова. Жил в Ровно. В начале мая его призвали, а уже с июня был на передовой. Принимал участие в боях под Бакалей, Купянском. 1-я отдельная бригада специального назначения имени Ивана Богуна. Погиб 4 января 2023г. в боевых действиях в Кременском районе Луганщины. Похоронен его на кладбище Новое… Орден" За мужество " III степени был вручен жене погибшего Романа Калащука - Наталье Калащук.
