Погиб в районе населенного пункта Любомировка Николаевской области. Климчук был пулеметчиком одной из отдельных мотопехотных бригад. Убит выстрелом снайпера не позже 18 июля 2022 года.

Участник военного конфликта с 2014 года. На передовую отправился в 18 лет после окончания винницкого высшего художественного профессионально-технического училища по специальности «электрогазосварщик». В составе 59-й омбр Валентин Климчук прошел три ротации в районе боевых действий. Демобилизовался в 2017-м.

Уроженец Стадницы, там и похоронен.
