Родом из города Рожище на Волыни. Проживал в Киеве. На автодороге у села Хорохорин Луцкого района в ДТП 29 сентября 2024 года погиб 36-летний капитан ВСУ Павел Чайка, который был полным кавалером ордена "За мужество".

Чайка служил в армии с 2007 года, прошел срочную службу десантником, затем работал в "Беркуте", а затем снова вернулся на контракт. Он участвовал в боевых действиях, защищая Украину во время войны, в частности — в обороне Донецкого аэропорта и на Дебальцевском плацдарме, дважды получил ранения.
