Родом из села Охотниково, АР Крым. Жил в Киеве. Окончил Национальную академию внутренних дел и получил степень магистра по праву.
Лейтенант Николай Рослый (Ляко), погиб 30 октября 2022 года вблизи села Водяное Донецкой области в рядах 711 полка охраны Государственной специальной службы транспорта МОУ. Командовал штурмовым взводом. Во время выполнения боевого задания получил смертельные осколочные ранения во время артобстрела. Офицеру было 30 лет.
