Четверо членов экипажа вертолета Ми-8 вертолетной эскадрильи 16-й отдельной бригады армейской авиации Броды погибли 30 июня 2026 года во время перехвата российских дронов. Погибли командир экипажа — капитан Юрий Ворон, летчик-штурман — майор Валентин Мукшинов, бортовой техник — старший лейтенант Богдан Хмиль, воздушный стрелок — младший сержант Михаил Деряга.
Ворон был награждён рядом наград, в частности орденом Богдана Хмельницкого III и II степени. Среди прочих — Казацкий крест III степени; нагрудный знак Участник АТО; орден Даниила Галицкого; знак отличия Президента Украины За оборону Украины; медаль 10 лет добросовестной службы.
