Родился Руслан в селе Соленое 2 августа 1972 года, но вырос и всю жизнь прожил в Вольнянске. В сентябре прошлого года Руслана Шестопала мобилизовали в воинскую часть А0693. Он был водителем-радиотелефонистом стрелкового батальона. Жизнь Руслана оборвалась 23 сентября 2023 во время штурма в Федоровке Бахмутского района.
